Security Borrowing and Lending (SBL) system is designed to enhance the liquidity and minimize the risk of settlement failures on the securities market. Thailand Securities Depository (TSD) plans to provide intermediary services for SBL in Thailand to reduce time and cost of searching for available securities and, thus, generate a high level of trade volume. The system is built on a well designed architecture including MS SQL Server as the backend layer, Java Application server and IBM MQ as the middle tier, and JSP/AJAX as the front-end application. The system is designed so that future scalability to support more online concurrent users.
